I rate my experience with this company 5 stars "as good as it gets". I used My Dad's Moving Company at the end of May 2009 - What a pleasant surprise. They showed up on time and ready to work. They just dove right in and didn't quit until the job was done. They really worked hard. I had two guys, Rick and one other, and I am so sorry I don't remember his name because he was so friendly and cheerful. They came from San Jose for my move in Gilroy. I moved about a mile and a half from where I had been living. The whole move was just around three hours. The charge was $325.00. Exactly as quoted. I always worry and feel kind of helpless in these situations, because you never know if people will show up at all, or if they will take advantage of you and charge you double what you were expecting to pay. But I had no choice and I'm so glad I used them. They were recommended by an apartment manager friend of my daughters, the manager had used them in the past. I may need to move again this year, and what a relief that I know who I can call. I was elated when it was over because I had been so worried about the move, but it couldn't have gone better. I also rarely write reviews, yet read and rely on them for my decisions as a client. My realtor connected me to Rick and the "My Dad's Moving" crew, as I've been stuck in a 2 year real estate circus.

I've relied on My Dad's Moving at least 5 times in the past 2 years, and every time it is so easy. Rick's great with logistics to make the entire process so efficient. Believe me--my moves often involve 3 directions! This pile goes to this house, this pile to storage, this to new house, then a few months later, we do it all again! They're super flexible and priced well--I've tried comparing and even doing the U-Haul. It's so much easier to call Rick, and not that much more expensive. You deserve to have the professionals take care of it for you!
